The Journey Begins Here…

The Windsor, Essex, and Kent County Region, together with; Hockey Canada and the 2012 World Under 17 Hockey Challenge, Host Committee, are proud to present this year’s edition of the Event.

The game schedule begins with 5 exhibition games taking place on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 and draws to a conclusion with the Gold Medal Game on Wednesday, January 4, 2012. This will mark the first time in the 26-year history of the Tournament, that it will be held in this Region of Ontario.

The 2012 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge will follow the same format as previous years –
Five Canadian Team entries (Atlantic, Ontario, Pacific, Quebec and West); will be joined by Five International Teams (Czechs, Germany, Russia, Sweden and USA).

The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals, while the remaining three teams from each group will cross over for placement games. The 32-game Schedule will be played in the following Communities; Amherstburg, Essex, LaSalle, Tecumseh and Windsor.
